Bare Minerals Skin Longevity Vital Power Infusion

bare minerals skin longevity review

Bare Minerals is one of the first brands I remember really falling in love with. I bought their starter kit when I first decided I was going to get into make-up and loved it. It taught me everything I needed to know about putting together my face. I’ve never really played around much with their skincare but when I got a sample of Skin Longevity Vital Power Infusion in my Tili box I was eager to give it a try.

So, I gave it 7 days. Well, I planned on 7 days but the sample actually lasted me 10 days so - winner!

Designed with the post-festivities in mind, this beauty fluid sets out to replenish your skin with essential minerals, renew your skin on a deeper level, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin, and give your skin a barrier of resilience against the elements. Sounds like a right little skin warrior.

I popped it on freshly cleansed skin twice a day, working it up and around the face and then in upwards motions on my neck (never forget your neck folks!). It’s super fragranced which was pleasant enough but made it feel more synthetic than filled with all kinds of herb and plant extracts and goodness. It glides on smooth but doesn’t change the appearance of my skin in the slightest. It sits pretty tackily on the skin until it dries in. I tend to pop it on, do my hair and by then it’s completely soaked in and I can go in with my moisturizer.

Honestly, I wanted to be impressed by this. It was lovely to use, it felt lovely on my skin. I didn’t experience and breakouts, it didn’t make my skin any extra oiler, but it also didn’t do a thing to the weathered winter patches of dry skin I’m currently dealing with.

I just didn’t notice anything.

Maybe it needed longer than 10 days, but I’d have liked to have at least seen something that might make me want to consider picking it up full size and going with it for a little while longer.

Not impressed. Not unimpressed. Indifferent really.

Ah well, you win some, you loose some.

What kind of results do you have to see to commit to purchasing full size?

Until next time,

  1. I'm always neither impressed or unimpressed with skincare. I think I'm just hard to please!

    1. I don't think I'm that hard to please, I just like to see results, when I don't, it frustrates me, especially if I've had high hopes for the product in question!
