Fitness Update: Bounts

This week has really been an off week for me. I’ve been exhausted, struggling to sleep and thus been left with zero energy to hit the gym and workout. I’ve done some really light working out at home, some stretching and a few moves with my exercise bands, but nothing to break a sweat.

I’ve even let my step count slip. *insert audience gasps here*. I know. Shocking. 

I only managed a mere 65k on my FitBit this week, 30k less than the previous week. It was enough to win one of my challenge groups but not the other. FAIL

But I’m not going to beat myself up too much. We’re all entitled to an off week every now and then. I’ve finally managed to catch up on my sleep which has defiantly helped, we all know zombies don’t run fast! 

With little to report on actually doing anything to get all sweaty this week I thought I’d bring up Bounts. Nothing beats a financial incentive to do something, especially when you’ve got so much to save for and an acquired taste for really good gin. Anything that puts a few pennies in my pocket is always worth investigating.

Bounts is a free to download and register with site (with mobile phone apps available for fee too) that rewards it’s users for working out. It integrates with a whole host of fitness apps and trackers too. I linked it right to my FitBit Flex and started earning points right away.

What do points make? Prizes!

Bounts works on a points system, e.g 5 points for every 7,000 steps you take, 5 points every time you check in at your gym and stay for at least 30 mins, and points for things like signing up new members and taking part in activities, challenges and tracked exercise. Points can then be converted into vouchers for some of your favourite stores and online shops including; Amazon, Boots, John Lewis, Tesco, Debenhams, Tk Maxx, Thomson holidays and many many more

It’s insane how many stores and companies are signed up to this program. But you do need around 2778pts for a £10 voucher. 

Obviously the more your work out and the more apps you can link your account to, the more points you will earn. They also have a premium subscription you can sign up to that allows you to earn points faster. But, the way I see it, you’re working out anyway, just letting this run in the background, checking in every now and then, it’s an almost too easy way to earn a little extra cash on the side. 

Looking around online, many users tend to cash out £5 vouchers every 3-4 months, which might not sound like much, but money for free is always welcome in my purse!

Since getting a FitBit Flex for Christmas, I’ve been obsessed with hitting my daily step count. Some days it’s easier than others when I’m busy at work, or I put in a gym session, those steps really do rack up. But on quieter days, especially weekends with no plans, it’s not always as easy as just taking a jaunt to the shops to hit my daily step count goal. When you take part in a few step count challenges like I do too, you want to get in every extra step you can to try and take (and keep!) first place. Here’s 10 easy steps to boosting your daily step count.

1. Go the long way round
To the photocopier, the toilet, the tea room, if there’s a slightly longer route, take it. If you go the shop for some milk, do a lap of the store (try not to buy any sneaky extras!) and go the long way round to the fridge. 

2. Keep your distance
From getting off the bus a stop earlier to parking your car a little further away. We’ve heard this one time and time again but those extra steps are quick and easy to achieve. 

3. Lunch hour boost
Weather permitting, if it’s not too wet and windy outside, I’ll go for a quick walk around the block on my lunch. My route takes about 15 - 20 minutes and racks up a whopping 2000 - 3000 steps! Getting a quick break from the office really helps clear my head and gives me more energy for the afternoon ahead.

4. Break boosters
Chilling on the couch watch the soaps? During the ad breaks get up and move. Walk or jog on the spot for the length of the ad break, take the stairs a few times or just find a few odd bits around the house to do. Whatever gets you off the house and keeps that step count climbing.

5. Tv catch-up
If you’re feeling really energetic, walk/jog on the spot for the entire length of the show or film you’re watching. I can clock 2000+ steps whilst watching just 1 hour of tv. When you need to catch up in a step count competition this is a great way to do it!

6. Kitchen march
Whilst you’re filling the bowl to wash the dishes, waiting for the kettle to boil, the toast to pop, the pasta to cook - walk/jog on the spot. It might not be for long but all these little step boosts count! 

7. Bathroom march
Same goes for waiting for the shower to warm up, the bath to fill or you’re brushing your teeth, keep moving! Again, it might only be for a few minutes but it’s surprising how many steps you can rack up without even breaking a sweat!

8. Walk the dog - even the invisible one
Even if you just go around your block after tea, or whilst your other half is cooking, take the dog, even if you don’t have one, for a walk. I’ve actually had people tell me the couldn’t do this because they don’t have a dog. What? Walk yourself! Walk your thoughts, pop on your favourite album or most recent Podcast download. Your walk doesn’t have to be far, or for long, but you’ll be amazed how many steps it will add to your count.

9. 40/20
If you’re having an intense blog post writing session or an afternoon playing catch up with your favourite YouTubers, for every 40 minutes you work/watch/play, get up and jog/walk on the spot for 20. You can change the ratio however you like, but this guarantees you’ll be moving your ass at least once an hour! 

10. Multi-task
What jobs/tasks do you do sitting down that you could do standing up? Answering tweets/emails on your phone? reading (walking on the spot whilst reading is actually pretty easy)? Uploading a selfie to Instagram? Give it a go, just some light walking on the spot, whilst you do your thing, see how many steps it gets you!

So far all of the above have really helped me to smash 10k steps a day and win the work week hustle three weeks in a row now! Could you do with getting a few extra steps a day? How do you boost your step count?

Lost in a Book

I've always been a bookworm. There's nothing quite like cosying up on a Sunday morning with a brew and a good book, getting lost between the pages, escaping the real world for just a few moments. I get so lost in books at times, and sometimes, it's the best place to be. Danielle tagged me in the Lost in a Book tag, so let's get a little lost together, shall we?


Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
Usually curled up on the couch in the living room. We have a huge two storey window in there so the lighting is pretty good and it’s super cosy!

Where do you like to read?
I can pretty much read anywhere but I love reading in libraries. Liverpool Central Library has a section called the Picton Room. Google it, it looks like the library from Beauty and the Beast. Easily one of my favourite places to sit and read. 

Bookmark or random piece of paper?
My current bookmark is a Rowena Ravenclaw chocolate frog card! So I guess that’s half random, half bookmark? I’ve got some amazing jewelled bookmarks from my parents but they’re too bulky and always end up falling out and losing my page!

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop at a chapter?
I can stop wherever but I prefer it to be at the end of a page or paragraph. If a book has really short chapters though I will always try and get to the end of the current chapter. 

Do you eat or drink whilst reading?
Mostly drink. But you’re likely to find biscuit crumbs between the pages too!

E-reader or real book?
Both. I love my e-reader for it’s portability, especially when travelling or commuting. And when I decide to read a tomb of a novel, it really helps me to not break my back when lugging it around. That being said, I love going to the library and getting my hands on real books, the smell, the touch, other people's notes and crumbs, there’s someone's untold journey between those pages. 

Music or TV while reading?
Music sometimes, but it can’t have any lyrics otherwise I find it too distracting. I love listening to classical music when I read, they go so well together. It also helps drown out any noise if I’m reading in public. 

One book at a time or several at once?
I used to read several at once. I would have a commute/work book and a book by my bed for evenings. This really helped when I was studying as I had so much to read but more often than not these days I'm a one book kinda woman. I don’t commute to work anymore so I’ve lost a good 60-90 mins of reading a day so it takes me a lot longer to finish one book these days, let alone two!

Reading at home or everywhere?
Everywhere. Unless I’m on a night out, you’ll always find a book in my bag. Most of my reading is done at home, there's less distractions but I do try to read in work if I’m alone on break etc, it’s a great way to escape a bad day at work!

Reading aloud or silently in your head?
Both. Kind of. Mostly I read in my head, but when I’m home alone and reading I often find myself whispering the words. It comes from when I was younger, I was always chosen as the reader in plays so I had to practice pronunciation and emphasis out loud. 

Fiction or non-fiction?
I really will read anything and everything, it all depends what I’m in the mood for. I couldn’t choose one over the other. 

Do you read ahead or skip pages?
If I’m getting impatient I might glance to the end of the page before I start reading it to see where things are going but I’ll still read the entire page. The only pages I’m ever likely to skip are the epilogue pages from the last Harry Potter….I just can’t read those…those….things!

Break the spine or keep a book like new?
Spine breaker! I really freak out when I borrow a book from a friend and the book is so pristine I have to ask if they’ve actually read it. I can’t be that careful with books and I hate it when I’m trying to read on my lunch break and the page keeps turning itself back over! I believe books are meant to be loved, used, have the spines broken and the corners of pages turned down. There should be crumbs and annotations, it should look like it took its last reader on a journey. 

Do you write in your books?
Not so much these days but when I was studying, every book was covered in pencil notes, ideas, highlights, and questions. I’m not against writing in book's though. I love it when you pick up a library book and see someone else's underlinings, I always wonder why did they underline that particular thing, what were they thinking? What did it mean to them?

Your favourite book?
I wrote a post on books I could read again and again but the list is even longer than that. If I could only take one book to a desert island I just don’t know what I’d choose. So many are so important to me - I’d have to take my Kindle so I could fit them all on, and a solar powered charger of course!

Are bloggers being forced to over share?

Here’s a thought. Are bloggers being encouraged to over share on their blogs in order to keep their audiences attention and views? Are bloggers being made to feel like they need to expose their soul, dirty laundry and all in order to appear just like you - the reader? 

I watch a lot of YouTube. Mostly it’s daily lifestyle bloggers and travellers. We’re all a little voyeuristic, who isn’t curious about what goes on behind other people's closed doors? A couple of bloggers have told me their most popular posts are the personal ones. And I agree, I love reading about others peoples strifes and struggles. I think there’s a lot to be learned from what others have gone through. But bloggers exposing their souls feels like it’s becoming a must blog about topic you have to tick off the to-do list. 

And if you’re not blogging about your troubles? If you’re not calling out someone who might have virtually roughed up a fellow follower on Twitter? Then you’re being branded as a fake, a phony, you’re being forced into a dark little corner of the internet where you must strip down and bare your shame for page views and comments - all to prove you’re a real person. Because real people can't possibly be so happy and positive all of the time. Wait...hang on...this is news to some people? Woah. 

Why do bloggers need to keep proving themselves? Are we still naive enough to think that every filtered photo on Instagram is a true representation of someone's life - but then if we think it’s too perfect then clearly they’re lying and we should call them out on it and force them to prove they have bad days too. 

Fucking hell.

Blogging, sharing, picture taking, isn’t this supposed to be fun? Our blogs are supposed to be a safe place, where we can talk and share whatever the hell we want to without trying to appease and appeal to everyone who stops by. 

I have found myself on blogs I have not liked. Be it their writing style, layout, thoughts, opinions, whatever. There’s been a reason it hasn’t tickled my fancy, but do I troll them? Leave hate? Call them out on Twitter because I don’t agree with them?

No.

I click that little red X (or red dot it you’re on a Mac) and I leave. 

Should that blogger suddenly have to go back on everything they have said because little ol’ I didn’t agree with them? They’ve lost that single returning visitor because of their opinion. Oh no! Sound the alarm bells.

Oh, give me strength. 

Our blogs are our places on the internet to share. I accept the fact not everyone will read my blog, and those that do might not even like it very much. Hell, if you’re reading this now your might be shaking your head thinking, did she write this drunk? The answer is no, and if you don’t like it? See the information above. 

Some people’s Instagram accounts might look all pink, frosted, full of sweetness and light. They might spread rainbows and unicorns on Twitter. I might not know these people, but I’m pretty sure their offline lives don’t come with a dollop of extra sweet buttercream on a daily basis. But why should they be forced to share the sour moments in their life just to prove something? 

Your blog is your space. Do with it what you will. The same goes for all your social media accounts. You have nothing to prove and no-one to please other than yourself. If you don’t like what someone else is doing let them be. You think they’re too happy, too positive, too perky all of the time, let them be. They’re not hurting you, or harming you in any way. Maybe they don’t feel like sharing all the skeletons in their closet, chances are you probably don’t either.

Fitness Update #2

This week has been all about the FitBit. I’ve had one for nearly a month now and this week has been about nothing but putting one foot in front of the other, in the name of glory and winning my third consecutive challenge.

Up until Thursday, I was lagging behind and first place was easily 20k+ steps ahead of me. I didn’t think there was any way I could catch up, let alone overtake for first place. But then, you suddenly find yourself at 11.30pm on a Friday night, marching on the spot with a glass of wine in one hand, your phone in the other, constantly refreshing your step count.



I’ve never thought of myself as a competitive person, but damn, I wasn’t going to lose! I went to bed a winner, with a really really sore ass. 

Workout wise, I only made it to the gym once again this week. I’m not going to beat myself up about it, I went on enough lunch time walks to make up for it. I did a full hour of cardio; cross trainer, bike and rowing machine. 

Gymming of an evening has been really hard lately. I feel like I’m literally running against a wall and the weights feel twice as heavy. Working against having already been up 14+ hour and a full day on my feet in work, I just can’t seem to get my energy back to what it was last summer! 

Can’t I just blame the dark, miserable weather?

How to take back your mornings!

I don’t know about you, but I’m always trying to get everything and anything done of a morning before work. From making lunches to evening meal prep, cleaning, dish washing, and getting myself (and the Mr!) ready for the day ahead. I try and do too much and more often than not am running out the door, half a piece of toast hanging from my mouth and toothpaste down my front, so cliche of course. Are you sick and tired of frazzled mornings? Would you fancy an extra 10 minutes in bed or enough time to watch an entire episode of Vampire Diaries before you have to leave for work? 

Psssst I’m going to let you in on a couple of secrets that will help you take back your mornings and give you that extra time you need for that extra cup of tea or perfect cat eye flick. 

It’s all about the evening prep 

Make a list about 30 minutes before bedtime of all the things you need to do in the morning. From putting together packed lunches to sorting out the rubbish. Pop it all on the list. Then, go through and see if there’s anything on that list you can do now. I usually take about 10 - 15 minutes before going to bed to put the dishes away, do a very quick pick up around the living room and kitchen, and sometimes even getting out all my clothes for the following day. None of this takes long at all and those 15 minutes I spend doing it the night before gives me 15 extra minutes in the morning. 

Ideas for evening prep;

  • Put the non-perishables of the lunch boxes together (fruit, crisp, snacks etc)
  • Make your breakfast smoothie and pop it in the fridge - it will taste just as good if made the evening before!
  • Schedule - I’m terrible for trying to do my social media scheduling in the morning, doing it of an evening is so much easier, just don’t do it too close to bedtime!
  • Put together a to-do list for the morning

Plan in advance

I’m turning into such a planner. Either planning the night before, or, to make it easier on myself, several days before. Every task is so much easier to get through if you’ve planned it out in advance. I’m a huge fan of meal planning and am slowly starting to plan my breakfasts and lunches in advance too. It makes the weekly shop so much easier and it saves me standing in front of the cupboard for 10 minutes trying to decide what to eat. I’m not so strict as I stick rigidly to the choices I’ve made in advance, but, it does make it easier if I’m being indecisive! 

When I was having to get up before the birds for my commute I even used to plan all my clothes in advance a few days ahead. I would put entire outfits, socks and underwear included on hangers on a Sunday night, then just pick out a hanger the evening before. Let’s be honest, choose your clothes blearily eyed in the dark doesn’t always end well! 

I want my evenings to be as relaxing as my mornings, so even though the above might sound like a lot, I do it long enough before bed that I still have time to go through my nightly routine, get ready for bed and relax with a few pages of a book before lights out. The more I can get done of an evening, the less frazzled I get in the morning, which always puts me in a much better mood for the rest of the day. 

Five things to do with that extra time you have in the morning;

  • Cook yourself a really nice breakfast. Or a really nice lunch, because corned beef sandwiches are only exciting once a week. 
  • Spend some time on your passion project - something you only ever get to work on last minute on a Sunday night before the working week gets in the way.
  • Workout - even just a few simple yoga stretches or a 5-minute cardio blast, exercising in the morning gives me so much energy for the rest of the day. 
  • Read. Your current book, the latest news, blogs, whatever takes your fancy. I love reading over a brew in the morning.
  • Create a to-do list. Either jobs that need doing when you get to work or tasks that need ticking off that night once you get home. You might even be able to tick a few off with those extra minutes you’ve scored back before you leave for work!

How much does blogging cost?

People are always asking how much money do you make blogging? But few ever ask how much does it cost to blog? Every hobby, and yes, blogging is a hobby, few bloggers are lucky enough to turn their hobby into a business, comes with a price tag. From albums for stamp collectors to binoculars for birdwatchers, every hobby requires essentials, time and financial investment. 

When I first started blogging I never stopped to think about how much it would cost. I registered for a free blog with blogger.com, I didn’t have a domain name or custom template, and my header was a PicMonkey do-it-yourself job. All my photos were taken on either my phone or my point and shoot digital camera and every product I reviewed was something I already had laying around or had paid for out of my own pocket. 

Blogging for free is do-able if you’re just looking to share your passion for something if you’re looking to connect with a community and stretch those creative muscles. If you have no interest in making a penny (which is fine!) then you can probably go pop the kettle on and put your feet up.

But if you ever have the inkling to push your blog a little further, maybe look at making a penny or two, you find yourself reaching into your purse to expand on your little corner of the web. Things like;

  • domain name (I paid £15 to have my domain name for 5 years)
  • custom layout (easily £10+ depending on who does it and what you want)
  • branding (£10+, again depending on who does it and what you want)
  • advertising (£2+ per month, the bigger the blog you’re advertising on, the more they're likely to charge)
  • business cards (I paid £10 for 100 business cards, but the fancier the card the high the price)
  • hosting (can be from as little as £3 per month)
  • camera (anywhere from £100 - £1000 if you want to get really fancy)
  • photo editing software (the creme de la creme being Photoshop - you’re looking at £200)
  • photo props (£1+ per prop. Don’t forget, you’ll probably be propping seasonally too!)
  • computer/laptop (same as the camera, you could literally throw all your money at a new system)
  • products to review (whatever you’ve got left after you’ve purchased all of the above!)

And of course, one of the biggest investments; time. In the UK, the minimum wage is £6.70 (for those ages 21+). If you're looking at turning your blog into a job unless the stars magically align or you sell your first born to the dark side, it’s going to be a long time before you start making anything near that per hour you spend slaving away over your keyboard. Realistically it’s not going to happen overnight, or even over a couple of years.

And that’s all before you take into account all the little extras you end up buying because you’re a part of the blogging world. Reviews by some of my favourite bloggers have led to me making new, unusual and random purchases I would never have even thought of. Then there's the bandwagons. When you see every blogger and their dog blogging about the latest must have holy grail of the skincare world, you do find yourself wandering past it several times in Boots before finally giving in and chucking one in your basket - and FYI - blogging justifies every purchase you’re in two minds about. 

Blogging doesn’t have to cost the earth, their are always alternatives, free software, online editors, cheaper designers etc. However, with an ever-growing, over saturated market, if you want your blog to stand out it’s going to end up being less about content and more about how it looks, that first impression you give a new visitor. Unless you're a dab hand at the ol’ coding and graphic design skills, you’re going to find yourself reaching into your pocket to get that wow factor look you’re after.

So, how much does blogging cost? As much as you’re willing to throw at it.

I love face masks. I use them several times a week but I’ve never tried overnight masks. I never thought about wearing a mask overnight, I always thought it would be too messy, ruin my pillowcase, and let’s be honest, what kind of face mask can you leave on for over 8 hours? Origins Drink-Up Intensive Overnight Mask is nothing like a regular mask.

Origins has fast become one of my favourite brands over the last 12 months, everything I’ve tried by them I have fell in love with - the downside to this is that with every new product I try, I have higher and higher expectations. Couple with this the fact that this mask is undoubtedly one of those holy grail, anyone and everyone is talking about it, products and expectations were running very high. Would this mask live up to the expectations? 

The mask itself has a very rich, creamy consistency that is really thick. I had to keep reminding myself that it wasn’t a moisturiser, it was a mask - so it was designed to sit on the skin, not be absorbed. As it’s so thick, a little goes a really long way, I’m talking maybe two pea-sized amounts - so one tube is going to last a really long time. 

I tend to use Drink-Up Intensive after exfoliating. Applying in circular motions until it’s no longer visible. It does leave a sheen on my face, but hey, I’m going to bed so who cares? I was still a little concerned it was going to do something funky to my pillowcase, even though I’m a back sleeper, it actually dried pretty fast and wasn’t going anywhere. When it dries, it doesn’t feel like a regular mask. There’s no tightness, dryness, you can smile without feeling like you’re going to split your skin Joker style or uncomfortable tingling sensation. It feels like you’ve got a really thick moisturiser on. My skin felt really soft and cool to the touch.

This is a super intensive mask, so ideal for the winter weather we’re having right now. It’s enriched with apricot kernel oil, a holy grail hydrator, as well as avocado and mango butter, both skin loving and nourishing. Japanese seaweed locks in the moisture, ensuring you wake up to radiant, hydrated skin. In the morning, I just cleanse as normal to remove the mask, just like I would any overnight products. 

One thing I will say, and this is something I’ve heard mentioned before - this mask would be you best-travelling beauty product. Ever. I love flying long haul but I hate what the recycled air does to my face. You can guarantee that I will land with a new found friend on my face - oh, perfect for those holiday snaps! I’m all for using face-masks and in-flight beauty routines, but let’s face it, the looks you can get off fellow passengers usually leave you feeling a tad self-conscious about your cucumber enriched sheet mask. Origins Drink-Up Intensive dries clear, so nobody has to know that you’re actually masking on your side of the aisle! Winner. This could easily be washed off with a travel cleanser before landing, ensuring you hop off that plane with radiant, holiday ready skin!

Origins, you have done it again! Another barrier smashing, bar raising product. Though it’s a rich moisturiser, it works well with my oily skin. I use this once every two weeks for an intensive, skin quenching boost and so far have managed to avoid any dry, weather-beaten patches on my face. Hurrah.

Barley and Beans - Liverpool



I love a good brunch, it’s one of my favourite ways to spend the weekend with the Mr. Living in the city centre, we’re looking that most places are quite literally on our doorstep, Barley and Beans is even closer than that. So, one lazy Sunday morning we hopped off the doorstep and through the doors to the coffee lounge, in search of warmth, food, good vibes and good times.

Priding themselves on the philosophy that every seat in the house should be a good seat, this passionate little bistro serves breakfast all day, along side lunch and tea, hot drinks, cocktails, in house coffee blends and quality, locally sourced ingredients. Oh I do love me a good independent! 

I admit, located in the heart of the student hub of Liverpool, I did think this place was going to be kinda studenty but it’s anything but. It’s a gastronomical delight with cute quirks that put a personal stamp on the place you won’t find elsewhere in the city - shot glasses of M&M’s on every table? I’m sold!



The Mr went for an Apprentice Full English, Fried egg, sausage, grilled tomato, maple streaky bacon, hash brown, baked beans, black pudding and toast. Considering this was the lighter of the full english options there was so much food. He thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the sausage and black pudding, which I tried and had to admit, was delicious.



I went for The Canadian, cinnamon french toast, maple streaky bacon and maple syrup. It was so sweet and so good, I couldn’t get enough of it. I’ve got such a sweet tooth of late and this just hit the spot. I was a little concerned the bacon and syrup might be a little, weird, it’s not a combination I usually go for but I have to admit, it was fantastic, I just could have done with an extra rasher or two (greedy guts!). 

Barley and Beans was pretty quiet when we visited, around 11am on a Sunday morning, it was just us and a couple of tourists but everyone seemed to be enjoying their food, there was a great, really relaxed and chilled out atmosphere. I could see this being a great space to go and spend some laptop time or for a brunch catch up with the girls. I’ve got my eye on their Eggs Royale or Pancakes and brunch cocktails the next time I stop by!

How to have Confidence

“Fake it till you make it”

Which is easier said than done. Confidence has been such a demon for me for so many years now and honestly, I’m tired of fighting it. I’m tired of faking it, of looking for new ways around it, new solutions to the confidence problem

Confidence isn’t just one thing, it’s a culmination of things. You can be confident in your job, in the task at hand and the skill's you contribute to the project, but lack any and all confidence when it comes to your body or your cooking skills. You could have fashion confidence, the ability to turn heads with your epic style choices, but fall apart when it comes to confronting the in-laws, no matter how kick ass your heels are. 

Whenever I look up confidence online, everything is about faking it, making you sound more confident than you’re feeling, how your confidence is your responsibility, how your lack of confidence is holding you back

I’m just not buying it anymore. I’ve faked it - but never felt like I’ve ever made it. 

For me, confidence hasn’t come with a fuck it all attitude. It’s come from practice. From feeling utterly terrified about something but taking a step forward anyway. Confidence has come from getting things wrong and almost giving myself food poisoning. Confidence has come from laughing at my own mistakes. It comes from dressing comfortably, accepting compliments even if I’m not quite ready to believe them and simply smiling when all I want to do is cry.

Sometimes we really don’t have the confidence to do something or go somewhere, and that is OK too. This is who we are, so why does it matter if we really lack confidence when it comes to cooking or public speaking? Sure, we can work on building our confidence in those areas, but it won’t happen overnight and faking it isn’t always a solution. A lack of confidence doesn’t make you any less of a person

I think what I’m trying to say here, is that it’s ok to not be as confident as the next person, that you don’t need to fake anything.

Just be you.
