Ba-GinZing-a Your Skin!

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer for oily skin

These cold dark mornings and even colder darker nights are doing me and my skin no good I can tell you. From dry patches to dull, grey looking, lifeless skin, it’s a wonder I haven’t been scouted as a ‘no make-up required’ extra for the Walking Dead.

Origins GinZing Energy-boosting Moisturiser is one of those products I’ve heard a lot about but its never quite made it into my beauty stash…until now. After a lovely little chat and hand massage from the sales assistant (let’s be honest I’m likely to say yes to most things after a massage, ain’t we all?) she picked up the GinZing energy-boosting moisturiser off the shelf and gave me a little demo. I was instantly taken with it’s smooth, lightweight, oil-free formula and that scent. For anyone who has rode Soarin in Walt Disney World, Florida - it smells exactly like the scene involving the orange groves! Did this sales assistant know I was a sentimental zombie too?

Packed with ginseng and coffee beans, this little lotion is going to give your skin a right kick up the ass, giving you an instant hydration boost, de-zombie-fy-ing even the most lifeless skin with a rapidly refreshed complexion.

The lotion itself at first appears pretty thick in consistency but on contact, melts away like butter into the skin. It leaves behind no sticky residue, grease or oil. I was very surprised at how matte my skin felt after application yet it looked full of life. Even doing a simple back of the hand test, the hand with the GinZing applied looked smoother and fresher compared to the other. The zesty orange fragrance packs a punch at first, but once absorbed into the skin, it leaves the lightest of fragrance. I find the scent alone so up lifting!

They say you can use this as both a morning and evening treatment - as I have literally a drawer full of day time moisturisers, I’ve been using Origins GinZing Energy-boosting Moisturiser as a night treatment. OK, it sounds weird using something that’s suppose to wake up your skin before bed but, I find my skin looks so much more refreshed and well rested when I do wake-up compared to other products I’ve been using over the last few months! Who doesn’t want to wake up looking like they got a helluva lot more than 8 hours sleep?

Did I also mention I’m a sucker for packaging? The thick orange plastic tub looks so fancy on my dresser and the pot means I will get every last little drop of lotion out of this! Turns out, it's pretty durable too after I accidentally bounced it down the stairs, rushing to grab the last rays of daylight and snap it's picture. Oh, the bloggers life!

As evening moisturisers go, this one is right up there with Benefits Total Moisture Facial Cream and as a bonus, is £5 cheaper. Hey, we’ve got to save where we can.

Would I repurchase? Yes. I’m also extremely curious about other products in the line, especially the mineral make-up!

Have you tried Origins GinZing energy-boosting moisturiser or something else from the GinZing line? Leave me a comment below and tell me all about it!

Until next time,
