Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream

When the days are long and on the go, a good nights sleep can be just what the doctor ordered but even a good nights sleep can do with a helping hand when it comes to waking up with bright and happy, 'tackle-the-day' skin. Hello Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream.

This past fortnight I was lucky enough to be whisked away to a not-so-sunny Florida for a festive Family trip to the land of magic and adventure, yup, Walt Disney World! I've been visiting my happy place for the last 12 years and if there's one thing I've learnt over the years, it's certainly not the place to go if you're looking for rest and relaxation!

The days are long, you're up for park opening and throwing yourself down roller coasters, spinning in tea cups, eating copious amounts of Mickey waffles and that's all before lunch.  Most mornings I was up by 6.30am, most nights in bed around midnight or beyond. Sleep isn't really an option but the last thing I want is to look like I'm trying out for The Walking Dead in my holiday photos!

I took with me Simples Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream hoping to at least fake a good nights sleep!

I've always been a Simple kinda girl! Simple was one of the first brands I ever used when I first got into beauty and skin care and it's a brand I still, almost 15 years down the line, keep coming back to and it's never failed me yet! Whenever I travel abroad there's always something Simple in my toiletry bag or carry on.

The Vital Vitamin Night Cream contains 3 vital vitamins; B5, E and F. B5 actively restores, softens and smooths the skin, then skin loving E comes a long to give deep down moisture and improves your skins overall condition. Vitamin F finishes the job by helping to renew and regenerate skin cells, improving elasticity and giving your skin the kiss of life.

After a long (sometimes hot) day in the parks, I pulled together a pinch of pixie dust and went through my evening routine, finishing with the night cream. Once my face was cleansed, toned and almost dry, I used about a 20p sized blob of cream, working in circular motions upwards and outwards on my face, neck, decolletage and ears. The cream itself is really thick in consistency with no fragrance what so ever, so if your skin is on the sensitive side you should be ok.

My skin is pretty oily and this is by no means a mattifying cream in any way, shape or form so I did go to bed looking like a frying pan - but hey, I was on holiday with my family, it's not like there was anyone to impress!

In the morning, my skin had a slightly greasy sheen to it but it was noticeable softer and smoother. I had little to no redness in my cheeks and no breakouts for the fortnight. I had a few plane-induced blemishes which cleared up a few days into the trip.

With Winter officially here and the party season right around the corner, our skin needs our love and attention more than ever. Simples night cream ticks all the boxes for me, my skin looked and felt nourished and it certainly showed in the holiday pictures. Holiday pictures, like Christmas pictures are with us for a long time, they bring back amazing memories and we want that happiness to show! So show your skin some love with Simple this season and let the magic begin!

Have you tried Simples Vital Vitamin Night Cream or anything else from the range? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time,

P.S At the time of writing this post, Boots have Simple among other brands in a 3 for 2 offer! Great time to stock up!

P.P.S YES, the image in this post sucks and it's not mine. I actually used up the last of the night cream whilst I was away and left the empty pot behind *bad blogger*. Apologies! Photo credit goes to Simple themselves.

  1. Glad you found a product you enjoyed! I always feel like night creams leave my face greasy in the morning. Can't figure out if that means I don't need the extra hydration or if I am just using the wrong products

    1. I find that night creams are just so much heavy than regular moisturisers. If your not a fan of the greasy feeling in the morning, try a gel based night treatment, something like The Body Shops Seaweed Night Treatment, or Clarins Night Treatment, both are a lighter formula and could be what you're looking for!

    1. I rarely hear a bad thing about Simple. Sure, not every product is going to work for everyone, but I'm yet to hear any horror stories about their products, they're great for both youngsters starting out in skincare and more mature skin looking to go back to basics, it's quality on a budget for me!
