2014 | The to-do list

((Original image source))

I've always been one of those people who make a big ol' list of resolutions on December 31st.It's a pretty looking list, with borders and bullet points, a fancy pants word art header etc. The list looks good - and it's filled with all your usual run of the mill resolutions that we all make every single year. Put it all together in a fancy font and I'm good to go come 1st January - but by 31st January..well I'm sure the list looks good if you can find it, and maybe I've ticked...1/2 a single thing off it? Who knows, it's nowhere to be seen!

The thing about resolutions is that we make them because we're expected to. That's why all our resolutions are pretty much the same too; loose weight, save money, etc etc. Sound familiar? We give ourselves 365 days to tick these resolutions off the list...funny how the majority of them go un-ticked and end up on the following years list isn't it? Still sounding familiar?

So this year I've decided to do something a little different. I love lists, there will always be a list involved wherever I go, whatever I do, listing is awesome (you know you think this too!). There's nothing more satisfying (except maybe cold take out pizza for breakfast the next day!) than ticking something off a list. And the best possible kind of list you can tick something off? A to-do list!

Isn't a list of resolutions the same as a to-do list?

To me? Nope! Resolutions tend to be pretty broad, with bendy rules and a definitive start date (hence why my 'resolutions' style post is coming to you a little further into the month!). A to-do list is much more specific and punchier.

2014 | The to-do list

  • Blog a minimum of 3 times a week
  • Do 3 monthly blog challenges this year
  • Write 6 guest blog posts
  • Film a YouTube video with Gingerjaxx
  • Still be blogging this time in the New Year 2015
  • Buy and organise my jewerrly into a double sided hanging display
  • Throw out a least half of the stuff I have in storage
  • Complete the Blogilates beginner calender
  • Complete at least 3 Blogilates calenders

It might not look like much but I'm excited to get started and see them all neatly crossed off by the start of 2015!

What's on your 2014 to do list?

Until next time,
